Let's Read OCPS!

Let’s Read, OCPS!, a district-wide reading challenge, will run from January 26 to April 30, 2026, and aims to encourage students to read for enjoyment and develop a lifelong love of reading by contributing to the district-wide goal of reading 50 million minutes.

Greetings Sunrise Families!

As we continue through an incredible 2025-2026 school year, I am filled with gratitude for our hardworking students, dedicated staff, and supportive community. At Sunrise Elementary, we take immense pride in our long-standing tradition of academic excellence, consistently maintaining our status as an "A" school.

Our commitment to innovation goes beyond the classroom walls. As a recognized OCPS Green School, we empower our students to engage with the world around them through hands on learning in our butterfly garden, edible garden, and chicken coop. By fostering critical thinking and creativity, we ensure every "Eagle" is prepared for a successful 21st-century future.

We are already hard at work starting to plan for next year! If you have an incoming kindergarten student, are new to the area, or would like to take advantage of our "open enrollment" school status, please sign up for school tours.
